Northshore UCC is not a creedal church. That means members are not required to agree with a creed — a set of doctrinal statements established by a governing body; rather, we invite members to state their beliefs and invite
others to share them. We welcome all beliefs that conform with the teachings
of Jesus Christ.
At the heart of our beliefs is the following statement
“We are an open and affirming church. No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life’s journey,
you are welcome here.”
This document is not a test of our beliefs. It is a statement we make freely of
our own beliefs.
We are not alone,
We live in God’s world.
We believe and trust in God’s love:
Who has created and is creating,
Who has come in Jesus — The Word made flesh, to reconcile and
make new,
Who works in us and others by the Spirit.
We come together to be the Church:
To celebrate God’s presence,
To live with respect in Creation,
To love and serve others,
To seek justice and resist evil,
To proclaim Jesus’ love for all.
God is with us:
We are not alone.
Thanks be to God.
Our door is open to all.
